【摘要】:ThisbenchtestmethodisintendedtoproducecomparableoilagingcharacteristicstothoseobtainedwithASTMTMCSequenceIIIGAmatrixreferenceoils434,435and438afteragingintheSequenceIIIGenginetest.TotheextentthatthemethodgeneratesagedoilscomparabletothosefromtheSequenceIIIGenginetest,themeasuredincreasesinkinematicandMRVviscosityindicatethetendencyofanoiltothickenbecauseofvolatilizationandoxidation,asintheSequenceIIIGandIIIGA(seeAppendixX1inTestMethodD7320)enginetests,respectively.Thisbenchtestprocedurehaspotentialuseinspecificationsandclassificationsofenginelubricatingoils,suchasSpecificationD4485.1.1ThistestmethoddescribesabenchproceduretosimulatetheoilagingencounteredinTestMethodD7320,theSequenceIIIGenginetestmethod.Theseagedoilsarethentestedforkinematicviscosityandforlow-temperaturepumpabilitypropertiesasdescribedintheSequenceIIIGAenginetest,AppendixX1ofTestMethodD7320.1.2Units8212;ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.2.1Exceptions8212;TherearenoSIequivalentsforsomeapparatusinSection6,andtherearesomefigureswhereinchunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarningstatementsaregiveninSections7and8.1.4Thistestmethodisarrangedasfollows:SectionScope
