【摘要】:Therequirementscontainedhereincanbeusedasabasisforestablishingconditionsforsafeoperationofcriticalcomponents.Therequirementsprovideforgeneralplantassessmentandverificationthatmaterialsmeetdesigncriteria.Thetestspecimensandprocedurespresentedinthispracticeareforguidancewhenestablishingasurveillanceprogram.Thispracticeforhigh-temperaturematerialssurveillanceprogramsisusedwhennuclearreactorcomponentmaterialsaremonitoredbyspecimentesting.Periodictestingisperformedthroughtheservicelifeofthecomponentstoassesschangesinselectedmaterialpropertiesthatarecausedbyneutronirradiationandthermaleffects.Thepropertiesarethoseusedasdesigncriteriafortherespectivenuclearcomponents.Theextentofmaterialpropertychangecausedbyneutronirradiationdependsonthecompositionandstructureoftheinitialmaterial,itsconditioningincomponentfabrication,aswellasthenatureoftheirradiationexposure.Theneedforsurveillancearisesfromaconcernofspecificmaterialbehaviorunderallirradiationconditionsincludingspectrumandrateeffectsonmaterialproperties.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforspecimentestingtoestablishchangesoccurringinthemechanicalpropertiesduetoirradiationandthermaleffectsofnuclearcomponentmetallicmaterialswherethesematerialsareusedforhightemperatureapplicationsabove370176;C(700176;F).
